We purchased this for our 2.5 yr old Shar-pei girl. She is a purebred with a big chest frame, very fit/muscular & weighs 25kg. Her chest is 68cm, & we were worried that the harness may constrict her movements as it only extends to 69cm. However, this harness fits perfectly 😄 She has enough room to be comfortable with her rain jacket on or off. We have only used it once (we walked the girls as soon as it arrived), & definitely assisted us to control the girls pulling & taking us for a walk 🤨 The actual stitching is sturdy & the material is rugged but soft against her skin. The bungee piece takes the jolt out of the lead if she sees another dog or wants to run off. Love these harnesses, safe, strong and secure, importantly the dogs can’t back out of them
I highly recommend this company. Their Ruffwear range are strong, and well made. They look fantastic too. This particular harness was top-rate. Unfortunately I found it to be too heavy for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel’ and she wouldn’t walk in it. So I returned it and got a refund and Poppy is now happily and safely ‘strutting her stuff’ in the Flagline harness, which is similar but lighter.
This is the best harness I have tried for our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Poppy. It’s the 4th one we’ve tried and such a relief to feel that she is safe and won’t be able to back out of it. The second belt around her waist is what makes the difference. The pink colour is a bit over-bright but who cares? 😅

Ruffwear Flagline Dog Harness - Lightweight, Back Handle
After lots of research I purchased this for my 14 month old border collie puppy in size small. It fit exactly as described and supports her tummy and neck safely without hindering movement at all, she chased jet skis up and down the river bank, jumped off the boat and paddle boards, and generally played with confidence. The handle was really great for pulling her back onto the boat, and also holding onto her when needed! I would recommend to any dog owner, and will be repurchasing in a bigger size when she has grown! I paid for fast track delivery and Canine Spirit had it packed the same day, delivered next day. Exceptional.
