After lots of research I purchased this for my 14 month old border collie puppy in size small. It fit exactly as described and supports her tummy and neck safely without hindering movement at all, she chased jet skis up and down the river bank, jumped off the boat and paddle boards, and generally played with confidence. The handle was really great for pulling her back onto the boat, and also holding onto her when needed! I would recommend to any dog owner, and will be repurchasing in a bigger size when she has grown! I paid for fast track delivery and Canine Spirit had it packed the same day, delivered next day. Exceptional.

Brilliant service

Ordered a XL jacket for my dog, thankfully I was contacted to ensure XL was the correct size, as my dog is a Newfoundland i was confident it would be. However at the encouragement of Carolyn I remeasured her repeatedly and discovered for a 'firm' fit the L would be better. It arrived and fits perfectly with a small amount of adjustment still available.
Thank you for taking the time to ensue I purchased the correct size

Diggers Float Coat Dog Life Jacket

The service was second to none, I ordered the extra-large. I was contacted by Carolyn to inquire how large Digger was as the extra-large will fit a Great Dane. We ended up purchasing the Large and it fits perfectly. The product quality is a very high quality as I was looking at the BCF vests which weren't the best quality.

Wave Orange / XXS (33-43cm)

Great life jacket - perfect fit

Perfect Fit - we have a small dog who needed the XXS size. We haven't tried it yet, but he looks sooo cute. He was comfortable walking around, so we're sure he will be fine on a boat. Great service too, even after buying we were contacted to make sure we had the correct size.

Nelson Loves It!

The PFD is amazing. Nelson loves it and it us easy to move him around the boat if we need to. The quality is superb.

Deep Blue / M (69-81cm)

Just what we needed

Our dog is keen to swim with us. This life jacket helps her get in the right position to swim properly and loose her anxieties. Before she had this, she would make her way to us and cling on for dear life.

Great float coat

scarlet’s float coat is well made and fits her beautifully. She looks quite stylish and I feel much more relaxed with her in the boat now knowing the float coat will support her if we have any future mishaps with barely submerged logs.

Deep Blue / XS (43-56cm)

It’s very nice

This life jacket is such good quality!! However my dogs chest measured at 53 cm with is in the small life jacket range. The jacket does fit but the foam pieces across the chest don’t meet meaning when I use the handle to lift her out of the water she’s not being supported by padding only the 2 nylon straps. The gap isn’t massive and the rest of the jacket fits so nicely I’m not going up a size but it is something to note for people with deep chested dogs :))

Super life jacket! Soft, flexible and lovely bright colours. Our water baby loves his life jacket and I feel much safer riding on the JetSki with him knowing he’s safe! As always, Ruffwear delivers!

Love the fit

We have yet to test this out on the water but the fit works well!! Happy with the quality and fit.

Wave Orange / S (56-69cm)

So disappointed

We had the old style coat and it was perfect till my Shiba outgrew it. The new style doesn't have adequate flotation up front for him and is holding his body up and his face in the water....

k-9 float coat_ dog life jacket

I have a French bulldog and she loves the jacket as it keeps her chest high up in the water.
I recommend this jacket to other people who have small dogs

The order was put on hold as you were not in stock for the one I ordered.

K9 Float Coat

I thought my dog might have issues wearing the coat as he normally doesn't like anything around him, but he was quite comfortable and seemed to enjoy not having to paddle so hard... great buy!

K-9 Float Coat

Excellent float coat.my dog is 45kgs & this float coat handled her weight with ease in the pool..Also have to mention excellent customer service received!!

Fantastic

Great fit and well made. I absolutely recommend.

How much buoyancy does this product have for a large or broad chested dog for the support of the chest and neck area? Concerned that my dog needs the extra support when swimming being a senior American Staffy.

Canine Spirit Australia

Hi,

Thanks for your question. Ruffwear don't assign max weight limits to their Float Coats but they do do extensive product testing using a large number of dogs of varying weights and shapes to make sure their products 'work'. Plus the Float Coat has been on the market for over a decade so they have received a lot of customer feedback over the years that they can incorporate into their design.

The Ruffwear Float Coat is designed to support your dog in a natural swimming position and to support the head 'up. So they strategically placed the high-buoyancy foam panels - including under the neck. They also test buoyancy of the coat through a development process following guidelines of human PFDs.

I hope this helps :) We have been selling the Float Coat for over 10 yrs and have had positive reviews even on super large dogs. In fact we've had a team of Newfoundland rescue dogs order for all their pups too :)

Is this product in stock?
