Sizing the Ruffwear Palisades Pack
Available in 3 sizes, the Palisades Pack is designed for mid to large sized dogs who are physically fit. **If you need a pack for a smaller or less fit dog, check out the Approach Pack or Front Range Day Pack.
Measure around your dog's girth/chest. The pack should fit snugly so that it does not shift and stays stable. If your dog is right on the cut-off between sizes, Ruffwear recommends sizing down.
Do not recommend sizing up just to get extra capacity.
* PLEASE NOTE: it is not recommended that your dog carry more than 20% of their body weight in their dog pack - this includes the weight of the pack & the contents.
If your dog is new to dog packs, start with an empty bag and gradually, over a period of days or weeks, work up to a heavier load as your dog gets accustomed to wearing the pack.

I bought this for my vizsla who is doing a backpack trial. Love the fact that I can take the pack off easily at stops. Very adjustable sides so I can make it more compact or expand it. Also no chafing.

Great Backpack
Amazing backpack has a lot of adjustment and fits my dog nice and snug.
Only reason for the 3star rating is the chest protection (brush guard) does not fit the pack anymore once you adjust the straps to the dogs size.
I bought a medium for my lanky border collie, and I'm very impressed with the quality of the construction and material. It's very good at keeping my pup secured on the backseat (in combination with a dog hammock) and has been used for several 2-4 hour drives now which she has been able to comfortably lie down and sleep in. Makes me feel like she is secure and safe if anything were to happen.
I purchased this Raincoat in the XS size after reading a review from another Miniature Schnauzer owner who also added a photo. This review determined the size would be appropriate for my "Poppy" and it was. Perfect fit, light weight and keeps Poppy dry.... and she looks gorgeous in her new wet weather apparel.
My Welsh Springer is recovering from hindlimb orthopaedic surgery and the harness is excellent as it slips over his head then the chest straps are simply clipped in place without any need for him to lift his legs. Good control with back attachment but also the option to use the front attachment
