Ruffwear The Beacon - Safety Light

The two beacons arrived in super quick time. Following the video, I was able to set them up easily to suit my two Vizslas, Amber with blue and Toffee with red. They work really well and I can see their lights from a long way down the beach. They are light for the dogs to wear and they are not heeded them in any way. I have recommended them to friends.

The light is bright and it can notify that we are around at night. Safe for both of us.

My dog is a toy Aussie so the light is a little too big for his collar, but it works really well on his harness with the clip option. I love the different light modes which makes him stands out when playing with other dogs with lights in the dark. It was extremely useful when we were at a camp site with camper vans, the option of pulsing light make him stand out from all the red camper van lights. So far the waterproofing is working well!

The Ruffwear Beacon has been wonderful thus far, doing exactly what it said on the packet. It's quite bright but not too blinding, and the clip is perfect and during dives into rivers and runs through long grass, it remains secure. The positives. The light is bright and fits the harness very well. The negative. It can be almost impossible to push the button to turn it on and off. I thought it was flat one day and I just wasn't pushing the botton correctly! Good luck when you're wearing gloves on a cold morning. I appreciate this is a waterproof seal, but this could be a lot easier.

Much better than the light I purchased from another retailer (which was more expensive!). It lasts ages, has a great clip on it, easy to charge and I like that I can change the colour. Definitely waterproof. Strong recommend

Three colours (wth three varying battery lives - dependent on which colour you have on. Note: That’s a function of how LEDS are made, not a product fault).

Just a shame there is no choice for a strong white light too.

But worth the money. I’ve noticed the evening drivers on our dark country road have slowed since I put on this beacon.
I’ll be buying a second one - so we have one for our Border Collie’s chest and one for her back.

Great light that clips onto the lumiglow coat. Love the different colour options and flash/steady options. And it's USB rechargeable!

Ruffwear The Beacon™ - Safety Light

Great light, now I know where my pup is when she is running in the dark. One comment though, I would have loved to have the choice of a white light!

Really useful for early mornings and late evenings at the park. I use this safety light when exercising my Border Collie in the evening and early morning. It certainly gives me a piece of mind in these situations. The product is fantastic, long battery life and is light weight. It is smaller than I expected which is a positive for us.

Another benefit is that the light is really useful for anyone wanting to stagger their training in more distracting environments. My young BC is very confident and boisterous when visiting a park in the middle of the day and the distraction level is too high when we work on certain behaviours. However, using the light for an evening training session in what is usually an excessively distracting environment has really helped our training routines.

We have 2 Irish Water Spaniels that we walk separately very early in the mornings like just after 5am. The lights come in very handy for such dark mornings as visual aids for us & added safety as they are more visible to other people whether walking/cycling/driving. Our girl is walked on a collar so her light is on her collar. Our boy has a harness & the light is clipped to the harness on his back. We also like that it is easily recharged via a usb connector.

Dougie is a bright and lively wire hair fox terrier. Walking early or late just got easier and safer for us. This little light packs a punch! And it fits on to his harness with ease. A good investment

Got ruffwear beacons for our two whippets so we can see them at night when we are camping! Work super well, long battery and the multiple colours help us to identify which dog in the dark also.

This light is fabulous I bought 3 as I have 3 big dogs and walk early mornings but actually the light is so bright all 3 aren't needed. Clips easy on to their harness, different colours and flashes and love the most that it is rechargeable. Highly recommended.

We purchased this for our furr child and it clips perfectly to our ruff wear harness. It has a cool selection of colours and makes it easy to see our dog while camping.

This safety light is super bright and love the ability to choose from different settings. We purchased this for our Staffordshire Terrier who’s pretty boisterous and loves rough play. I wasn’t sure how it’d fare attached to the back of his ruffwear harness while he rolls and throws himself around, but it hasn’t come off once or sustained any damage. Highly recommend this light.

Just what I was looking for, a bright light to pop on the back of a harness so I could see my pup in the dark!
