How to find the best size Front Range Dog Harness for your dog
Step 1: Measure Your Dog's Girth/Chest
Measure around your dog's girth/chest at the widest point behind their front legs
Measure snug but not tight - a properly fitting harness should be secure but not restrictive. You should be able to fit 1-2 fingers between the strap & your dog's body.
No tape measure? Wrap a piece of string or even a phone charging cable around their chest instead. Then measure that against a ruler (there is also a digital tape measure on smartphones)
Step 2: Choose Your Size
Match your dog's chest measure to the table below.Between Sizes? Use Our Golden Rules:
Fully Grown Dogs: If your dog's chest 'exactly' on the border between sizes, Ruffwear recommends choosing the larger size. (e.g., if your dog's chest is 69cm (the cut-off between S & M), then Ruffwear suggest choosing the Medium)
Growing Puppies/Adolescents: Measure your puppy's current chest, then hold the tape measure at that size's maximum to gauge "growth room". E.g., if their chest is currently 45cm (size XS), holding the tape at 56cm (the XS upper limit) shows how much room the size allows and also how much the size up (S) would tighten.

How to Choose the Best Size Front Range Harness for your Dog
Simply, measure around your dog's chest at the widest point (i.e., the girth).

Have a young dog/puppy that is still growing? To help work out what size might be best for your growing pup:
Hold the tape measure around your dog's chest at the max measure for the size they fit currently. E.g., if your pup currently sits in a size Small (56-69cm), then hold the tape measure around their chest at 69cm.
This will show you how much 'growth room' that size harness has, but also will show you how much the next size up will tighten to.

The Front Range Harness has a reinforced webbing lead attachment point on the chest that can be used alongside proper training techniques, such as voice and reward training techniques, to help deter pulling. The idea behind this is that if a dog pulls too hard when the lead is attached to the chest, it will direct them towards you (like reins on a horse). I have 2 Jack Russell's with very different body shapes which makes finding a harness that fits both quite challenging! The Ruffwear Front Range Harness fit them both perfectly! Very happy with this harness. It fits my Cavalier puppy well, is easy to adjust, and seems comfortable for him to wear. The front and back clip options are useful for training and everyday walks. The quality feels excellent and the harness is easy to put on and take off. I would happily recommend it to other dog owners.

This is a good collar it is solid and durable with good stitching, clip and attachment point. If you're looking for bright collar I can recommend the Blaze Orange
Absolutely great! My Jack Russel x English staffy can run her little heart out in it without issue, love that it's freed her shoulders and she very rough and so far after about 3 months it's holding strong...
Using the Canine Spirit site was very easy. Ordered the Ruffwear Flagline Harness for my Irish Terrier pup as he had become a Houdini at getting out of his other harnesses. The Flagline ,size small, fits really well and he hasn’t been able to back out of it at all. Would definitely recommend this harness.
