The Ruffwear Trail Runner Belt is perfect for hands-free running (or walking) with your dog.  The adjustable hip belt has two zippered 'stretch' pockets to comfortably carry your mobile & essentials.  Plus it's designed to lay flat and snug on your body for a bounce free running experience.

The running belt has a clever leash attachment system which works with most leashes that have a handle. Our favourite to pair it with though is the Trail Runner Leash - this bungee dog lead has a shock absorbing design and, importantly, is the optimal length for running.

Don't want to attach a leash?  The Trail Runner Belt can be used with or without a dog leash attached.  Scroll down to see a video that shows how you can store the leash attachment system if you're doing off-leash running.

Excellent

Even better than I hoped for. Leaves the other ones I’ve used in the dust. Very comfortable.

Love it!

I am using it with two speedy Kelpies on a y-lead and it has been a game-changer. Quality and comfort both great. Previously I was running with a long lead and this is a huge improvement.

Great for running

Using it to run with my high energy Vizsla. I love that the strap allows for her to move from side to side without moving my hips. I find the back pocket panel is very thin and makes it a bit harder to access on my back as the insert is right against my body but other than that this is a game changer. The belt is lightweight, stays in place and I can forget about whilst running.

Not worth if you intend to run

It would be fine for walking but it rides up to the waist and doesn’t stay on the hips. As soon as your dog pulls in the slightest the big zip from the main pocket at the back digs straight into your back. With the design the bottom curved bit also folds over when you run, would be fine for casual walking with a small dog but it is terrible for anything more than that. Also note the straps don’t go all the way through - so the back coloured fabric is the only thing taking 100% of the force. Don’t waste your money!
